Constitutional AI

Constitutional AI is an approach developed by Anthropic to train AI systems to be helpful, harmless, and honest. Rather than relying solely on human feedback, Constitutional AI uses a set of principles (a 'constitution') to guide the model's behavior. Claude is trained using Constitutional AI methods. For brands, understanding Constitutional AI helps explain why Claude might respond differently than other models—it's designed to be balanced and avoid potentially harmful or misleading recommendations.
